    TL;DR

    • Problem: No standardized index existed to score regional tourism competitiveness across multiple weighted indicators.
    • Decision: Designed the TRI scoring methodology, selected and weighted indicators, and built the composite score.
    • Result: Delivered a replicable scoring framework for regional policymakers to prioritize investment.

    Context

Chile's tourism sector needed a structured way to compare regions and allocate resources based on evidence rather than intuition.

    Problem

No standardized index existed to score regional tourism competitiveness across multiple weighted indicators simultaneously.

    What I Did

Designed the TRI scoring methodology, selected and weighted indicators, built the composite score, ran predictive analytics to validate inputs, and built a dashboard to communicate regional rankings clearly.

    Results

Delivered a replicable scoring framework that regional policymakers could use to prioritize investment and track competitiveness over time.

    Learnings

Index design is a product problem. The hardest part is not the math. It is deciding what to measure and why.

    Artifacts

TRI scoring model, weighted indicator framework, predictive analytics validation, regional ranking dashboard.
